Name and genealogy of Imam Bukhari
Name, Muhammad bin Ismail 7 genealogy, Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ibrahim bin Mughira bin Bardijabah, Al Jufi Al Bukhari (R). Bardiabah the senior man of Imam Bukhari, was a fire worshiper. The word bardiyabah is Persian. I mean farmer. Mughira, the son of Bardiabar, converted to Islam at the hands of Yaman al-Jufi, the governor of Bukhara. This is why Imam Bukhari is called Bukhari as a resident of Al-Jufi and Bukhara.
There is no special information in history about Imam Bukhari's great-grandfather Mugira and Dada Ibrahim. However, it is known that his father Ishmael (R) was a muhaddith and an old man. He learned hadith from Imam Malik, Hammad bin Zayed and Abdullah bin Mubarak. He has never made haraam or dubious money in his life. Business was his livelihood. His financial situation was prosperous.
Birth and death
Birth and death: Imam Bukhari was born in Bukhara after Friday prayers on 13 Shawwal, 194 AH. And died on the night of Eid on Saturday 1st Shawwal 256 AH in the village of Khartang near Samarkand. He was 13 days younger than 62 years old. He was buried in Khartang village.
What happened in Imam Bukhari's childhood
Imam Bukhari's father Ismail died in infancy. His mother was pious and intelligent. She is raising her two sons Ahmed and Muhammad with the huge wealth left by her husband. When Muhammad was afflicted with a disease in his childhood, his eyesight deteriorated, he underwent many treatments and when his eyesight never returned, his mother started crying and praying to Allah. One night he dreamed that an old man was comforting him by saying that God had restored your son's sight as a result of your crying. In a dream he found out that this old man was Hazrat Ibrahim (AS). He woke up in the morning and saw that his son's eyesight had really returned. He thanked Allah with two rak'ats with wonder and joy. *
Education and work life
At the age of five, Muhammad was admitted to a primary school in Bukhara. Muhammad had a keen memory and talent from his childhood. He memorized the Qur'an at the age of six and completed his primary education at the age of ten. At the age of ten, he entered the Hadith Learning Center of Imam Dakhili, the best muhaddith of Bukhara, to study Hadith.
At the age of sixteen, Imam Bukhari (R) memorized almost all the hadiths narrated from the famous muhaddiths of Bukhara and its surrounding cities. At the same time, he memorized the hadith books compiled by Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak and Waqi ibn al-Jarrah, the famous muhaddiths of the Muslim world. He then went on Hajj with his mother and elder brother Ahmed. At the end of Hajj, the elder brother and mother returned. Imam Bukhari (R) stayed in Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Tayyibah for a few years and continued to learn Hadith from famous muhaddiths of both place,
Imam Bukhari (RA) visited Kufa, Basra, Baghdad, Syria, Egypt, Khurasan and the famous centers of knowledge of the then Muslim world for the purpose of collecting Hadith. He learned hadith from famous muhaddiths of those places. He continued to teach Hadith to others and at the same time engaged in writing books. Sahih Bukhari Sharif, is the greatest book, he was the first to start writing Bukhari Sharif in the Masjid Haram in Makkah Mukarramah and completed the writing of this great pure book in a long sixteen years. It has already been mentioned that Imam Bukhari (RA) had an extraordinary memory. He himself has said that he has memorized one lakh Sahih and two lakh Sahih Hadiths. The fame of his unusual and wonderful memory spread throughout the Muslim world. The muhaddiths of different cities have been amazed and amazed at the various tests of his memory and all of them have admitted that there is no one like him in the field of Hadith.
Teachers and students of Imam Bukhari
Imam Bukhari has learned hadith from thousands of muhaddiths. Among them are Makki Ibn Ibrahim, Abu Asim, Imam Ahmad Ibn Hamble, Ali Ibn Madani, Ishaq Ibn Rahwah, Humaidi, Yahya, Ubaydullah Ibn Musa, Muhammad Ibn Salam Al-Baykandi and Muhammad Ibn Yusuf Al-Faryabi. Many of his masters have narrated hadiths from Tabi'ids. He also narrated hadiths from his younger siblings. It has been mentioned that the number of listeners of Bukhari Sharif from Imam Bukhari (RA) is more than ninety thousand. Besides, the number of his students is huge. Among them, the names of famous muhaddiths like Imam Muslim, Imam Tirmidhi, Abu Hatem and Razi (R) are particularly noteworthy.
Bukhari Sharif
The full name of Bukhari Sharif is Al Jamiul Musnadus Sahihul Mukhtasaru Min Umuri Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Wa Sunanihi Wa Ayamihi. It is called ‘Jami’ or Purnang because it contains the main points of Hadith. And since Sahih Hadith is narrated, it is called Sahih and Marfu Muttasil, so it is called Musnad.
The unanimous decision of all the muhaddithin is that Bukhari Sharif has the highest status among all the books of Hadith and is the purest book after the Qur'an. Imam Bukhari (R) had memorized one lakh Sahih and Ghair Sahih two lakh, totaling three lakh Hadiths. He compiled this book by checking and selecting a total of six lakh hadiths out of three lakh hadiths collected from him in the last sixteen years.
In addition to the above-mentioned verification and selection, before compiling each hadith, Imam Bukhari took a bath, prayed two rak'ats and recorded one hadith after another after the istikhara. As a result of such strict warnings, Bukhari Sharif has gained the greatest popularity as a book of Hadith in the entire Muslim world as compared to other books of Hadith. Every hadith narrated by Bukhari Sharif is undoubtedly saheeh and acceptable to Jamaahur Muhaddith.
