Name Malik, Surname Abu Abdullah. Genealogy: Malik bin Anas bin Abu Amir bin Amr bin Harith Al Asbahi. He belonged to the Asbah, a sub-tribe of the famous Arab tribe Qahtan, hence known as 'Al-Asbahi'.

the birth

There are opinions about the birth of Imam Malik (RA), but the consensus is that he was born in the holy city of Madinah to a noble, scholarly Muslim family in 93 A.H., the year Anas bin Malik, a servant of the Prophet ( PBUH), died.

education life

Madinah has been the center of religious knowledge since the migration of the Prophet (peace be upon him) until today. To be born in Madinah means to be born in the heart of religious knowledge. Especially their families were pioneers in religious knowledge. That's why he started learning from childhood. His mother in particular inspired him to study. Imam Malik (RA) said: One day I said to my mother, "I will go to study!" Mother said: Let's read the clothes of education, then she gave me a good dress, put a cap on my head and put a turban on it, then said: Now go to study and write.

  He said: Mother used to dress me well and say: Go to the famous scholar Rabiyyah of Madinah and learn his manners before learning his knowledge. Thus he learned from the famous muhaddis, faqihs of Madinah.

    2. Imam Muhammad bin Muslim Ajihuri (RA).

    4. Ibrahim bin Uqba (RA).


    5. Ismail bin Muhammad bin Sa'd (RA).


    6. Humaid Bin Qays Al-Arz (Rah.).


    7. Ayyub bin Abi Tamimah Assakhtiani (RA) etc.


The students of Imam Malik (RA).

Imam Malik (RA) is Imam Daril Hijrah, i.e.  the Imam of Madinah. Therefore, who does not want the privilege of being a student of the Imam of Madinah. So his students are countless, but the names of some famous students are given below:

Death of Imam Malik (RA).

Imam Malik (RA) died in Madinah Munawara at the age of 86 in the month of Rabiul Awal 179 AH. And he was buried in the cemetery "Baqi" in Madinah. [38] May Allah have mercy on him and grant him a place in Jannatul Firdaus. Amen!
